Dali + Púbol Shore excursion tour

Take a different perspective of Dalí and the landscapes of the Costa Brava in this alternative tour through the life and work of the genius painter

Our guide will pick you up in a comfortable minivan and will assist you in this personalized tour through the idyllic landscapes of the Costa Brava, as you uncover the mysteries and secrets of the most international Catalan painter, Salvador Dalí.

From Barcelona we head to FIGUERES, a small town near the border with France and one of the three points that make up the so-called 'Dalí triangle'. There he was born and spent his childhood Salvador Dalí, the 'crazy' sanest of surrealism. Know the streets and corners that marked his early years as well as some of his favorite places he frequented as an adult.

In the same Figueres is located what is considered the 'largest surrealistic object in the world', the DALÍ-MUSEUM. Designed by Dalí himself on the ruins of the old municipal theater, you will be able to plunge into the painter's mind thanks to his most complete collection, on a tour throughout the strangest artifacts you can imagine.

This tour will continue to PÚBOL, where is located the GALA-DALÍ CASTLE. Considered the third link of Dalí's triangle, in this ancient medieval building the artist turned their creativity with a single mission: to create a place of refuge for Gala, worthy of his love and admiration for her. Under his orders, it was carefully restored the old Renaissance Gothic palace. This was fully furnished personally by Dalí: he painted frescoes and two water colours entitled ‘View of Púbol’. Dalí himself also designed the mausoleum crypt where his wife is buried, located in the same interior of the castle.

After marvel at this romantic ode to love, in mid-afternoon we will go to the PLATJA DEL CASTELL, a small cove that has kept her old image until today, surrounded by pine forests and free of buildings around. In its vicinity is located Mas Juny, a place where since the 20's took place many parties that hosted numerous international artists and actors and among whose guests were the Catalan painter.
Nearby, we can find one of the most unknown secrets of Dalí, 'la barraca de Dalí', a small workshop with certainly curious forms.
End the day in this lovely place, taking a dip in the crystal clear waters of the Costa Brava, whose images obsessed Dalí and left an indelible mark on his work.
