TARRAGONA is located 100 km south of Barcelona, ​​on the Costa Dorada – formed of sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. In its streets houses one of the most important and best preserved Roman archaeological sites in Spain, being declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. TARRACO was the capital of the ‘Hispania Citerior’, one of the three provinces that formed the Iberian Peninsula about two thousand years ago.

With our guide we head from Barcelona to reach this historic scenery, making a first stop in one of the entrances of the old ‘Tarraco’. Here we will admire the impressive 'The Devil’s Bridge'. This aqueduct- 217m long and 26m high- is a spectacular example of the Roman advanced engineering and a small sample of what we are going to live immediately after.

You will be able to explore the ANCIENT WALLS surrounding the city and get immersed into one of the best preserved CIRCUSES in Europe, hidden under building structures from nineteenth century. You will see as the traces of the ancient ROMAN FORUM live in the present with the medieval and modern Tarragona and, finally, you will be amazed at the ruins of the AMPHITHEATER, located on the shore of the Mediterranean since the second century and where bloody battles between gladiators were exhibited.

After this journey in the footsteps of our distant past, we go to another town whose charm is more colorful and idyllic, heir to the imprint of Modernism.

SITGES is located on the Costa del Garraf, 38 km from Barcelona. Its privileged location, where the sea and the mountains are mixed, became an ideal place to practice health tourism, becoming later a curious location where artists of all kinds up their residences.

Today, in Sitges is mixed its traditional fishermen’s houses with a bohemian and lively atmosphere, full of boutiques, restaurants and musicians and artists in their streets.

On a walking tour through the town, our guide will take you through the wonderful streets and the most hidden corners of its labyrinthine center. You will see examples of architectural modernism as Casa Bacardi or Casa del Rellotge, as you uncover the curious stories of the 'Americanos’ who came rich from the new continent.

But the fame of Sitges - the 'Saint Tropez of Spain' - is due to its idyllic walk by the sea: the church of San Bartolomé and Santa Tecla, the grand staircase, the Maricel Palace and the charming ‘Quiet Corner’ - where musicians enliven the atmosphere – they form a beautiful journey that leads to the beach of San Sebastian.

End the day contemplating the idyllic picture of which is considered by the New York Times the best urban beach in Europe. Relax in one of its terraces or, if the weather permits, take a dip in its crystal waters.

  • Aqueduct Ferreres: the Devil’s Bridge originally ran about 15 km of territory to supply the city with water. Today it is one of the most spectacular and barely unknown samples of Roman engineering legacy in Catalunya.
  • Roman Forum Tarragona: the center of the town is still currently located where 2000 years ago started. In this area you can explore not only the traces of Roman architecture, also the medieval past or modern Tarragona, of which buildings stands the Cathedral (fourteenth century).
